On Wednesday, the Houston Rockets will look to extend their two-game winning streak when they visit the Denver Nuggets. The Rockets are currently in second place in the Southwest Division, while the Nuggets sit in third in the Northwest.

The Rockets have now won six out of their last seven games after beating these same Nuggets 108-96 last Saturday. They didn't shoot particularly well in that win, but they held Denver to a 37.5 field goal percentage and forced them into committing 15 turnovers.

Through their first 23 games this season, the Rockets have one of the top five defenses in the league by giving up just 95.3 points per game. James Harden has once again been Houston's top player by averaging 26.3 points, 6.7 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game. Newly-signed small forward Trevor Ariza has scored 14.3 points per game this season, but he has only been able to make 37 percent of his shots.

On Sunday night, the Nuggets lost their second game in a row when the San Antonio Spurs beat them 99-91 in Denver. The Nuggets did make eight of their 16 three-point attempts in that loss, but they also ended up turning the ball over 21 times.

So far this year, the Nuggets have one of the top scoring teams in the West, but they are also giving up 104.6 points per game to their opponents. Shooting guard Arron Afflalo has been one of their better players by averaging 15.1 points per game.
