The last time these two played each other it was the first game of the regular season for both the Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Bobcats. Rockets newcomer Dwight Howard dominated in his first game with 17 points and a career-high-tying 26 rebounds to help the Rockets easily come away with their first regular season win over the Bobcats 96-83.

Most of the game was pretty easy for the Rockets. James Harden scored 21 points, Francisco Garcia had five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points, Jeremy Lin had 16 points, and Patrick Beverly had five points before exiting the game early due to a rib injury. Lin had a scary moment when he got popped in the chin. He left the game to get stitches, but returned to action.

Al Jefferson from the Bobcats, who signed a three-year $41 million deal in the off-season, contributed with 13 points and eight rebounds in just 31 minutes of play. Bobcats rookie Cody Zeller, who was the fourth overall pick in the draft, finished the night with only 2 points.

Howard got a little tied up in the second quarter and he received a flagrant foul for giving what looked to be a push to Josh McRoberts' midsection. The two got in each others faces. The play was than reviewed and a personal foul was given to Howard instead.McRoberts finished the game with 15 points.
