With the regular season winding down, Golden State might need a couple of wins to keep the hard-charging Mavs off their tails and to avoid a 7th seed and 1st round matchup with the Thunder. The Lakers have been good about giving opponent's wins lately and without much resistance, coming within a dozen points only once in their last 5 games.

As the Warriors head to Los Angeles on Friday they sit just 1 game ahead of Dallas for the 6 spot in the Western Conference. They have the unfortunate task of taking on the Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back after Thursday's game with Denver. As it stands the Warriors won 7 of 10 games from March 16th to April 6th with two losses coming against San Antonio.

With four games left on the year it appears the Lakers may already be on vacation. They've won only 3 games in their last 10 and have dropped 5 in a row heading into Friday night. A home game against Orlando on March 23rd was the last time the Lakers were favored, a far cry from the Showtime days of past.

The Lakers own one win against the Warriors this year, a 102-95 victory on November 22nd. The other two matchups in 2013/14 have been all Golden State though, a 124-95 win the second game of the year and most recently a 102-83 Warrior win towards the end of December. Golden State has gone 2-1 ATS after being favored in all three games.
