On Wednesday night, the Detroit Pistons will be visiting the Washington Wizards, who have won three out of their last four games. During the 2013-14 season, the Pistons and the Wizards split their four-game regular season series.

On Monday, the Pistons lost their second game in a row when they were beaten 102.91 by the Chicago Bulls. They shot just 42.5 percent from the floor in that loss and finished with 15 turnovers.

The Pistons are third in the NBA in rebounding, but they are near the bottom of the league in scoring with just 91.9 points per game. One player who has played well is power forward Greg Monroe, who has averaged 17.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game through five games.

Last Saturday, the Wizards scored 32 first-quarter points against the Indiana Pacers and held on for a 97-90 road win. They were very good on the boards in that win, outrebounding Indiana 49-38 on the night.

The Wizards have been able to win five of their first seven games despite scoring just 97.6 points per game. Point guard John Wall has been solid by averaging 19 points, 8.7 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Center Marcin Gortat is averaging 14 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, while veteran Paul Pierce has scored 11.9 points per game in his first year in Washington.
