The Denver Nuggets are scheduled to play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. Denver currently holds a record of 1 – 0 by way of a 10-point victory over the Pistons. The Nuggets big men are the ones to thank for their success against the Pistons. Kenneth Faried and Timofey Mozgov both recorded double-double stats Wednesday night. Faried truly shined with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Denver’s guards struggled to hit shots from the outside, but fortunately Faried and Mozgov were all over the offensive boards. In order for this high output to continue, Faried and Mozgov may need viable offensive threats on the outsid. If defenses start doubling the Denver big men, it will be up to the guards to make opponents pay by hitting open jumpers.

The Oklahoma City Thunder players, now 0 – 2, are having an unfortunate start to their 2014-2015 NBA season. There is a lot of talent on this team, including last season’s MVP Kevin Durant. However, Durant and several other “would be” starting players are sitting on the bench because of injuries. The team is now starting players that were originally 3rd string players and tacking on losses. At this point there are few definite answers in the team’s injury report. They expect most, if not all, of their starters to return to the floor this season. It is hard to expect much out of the Thunder’s current active roster, but a few wins would be extremely beneficial. Every win they can muster will take that much pressure off the injured stars’ need to perform upon their return.
