The Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies played just this past Monday in the third of four meetings and the Grizzlies were able to win despite a great Denver comeback. With the win, the Grizzlies moved a little bit closer to locking down one of the final playoff spots in the Western Conference.

Memphis got off to a great start by outscoring the Nuggets 25-16 in the first quarter. Denver had a good second quarter, though, and went into the half down by just two points. After a few lead changes and a nice run by Memphis to take a lead into the fourth quarter, the Nuggets had a seven-point run to force the Grizzlies into making clutch buckets. Mike Conley was able to hit a three-pointer to make it 93-88 late in the fourth to seal the win for Memphis.

Conley finished the game with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor. Power forward Zach Randolph had a double-double by scoring 20 points and bringing down 11 rebounds in the win. Courtney Lee scored 19 and had seven rebounds for the visitors.

Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov was definitely the best player on the losing team, tying his career-high with 23 points and grabbing 10 boards. Kenneth Faried had eight rebounds to go along with his 17 points in the loss. Aaron Brooks had 10 points and six assists off the bench.
