The Denver Nuggets, who have won two out of their last three road games, will be visiting the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The Nuggets had no problems against the Lakers last season, beating them in all three of their games against each other.

After a rough start to the season, the Nuggets have now won three games in a row after beating the New Orleans Pelicans 117-97 on Friday night. They made 52.4 percent of their shots in that win, and they only ended up with 10 team turnovers.

The Nuggets are in the top half of the league in scoring this season, but they are also in the bottom five in points against. Their top performer has been point guard Ty Lawson, who is averaging 16.2 points and 9.1 assists per game.

The Lakers had their two-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night when they were blown out 140-106 by the Dallas Mavericks on the road. Their defense couldn't stop the Mavs in that game, allowing them to shoot 62.3 percent from the field.

Through their first 13 games this season, the Lakers have had by far the worst defense in the NBA by giving up over 110 points per game to their opponents. Veteran guard Kobe Bryant has scored 26.7 points per game this season, but he has only been able to make 37.8 percent of his field goal attempts. Forward Ed Davis is averaging 8.3 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game.
