The Dallas Mavericks will go on the road on Friday night to face the Toronto Raptors, who are an impressive 9-1 at home this season. The Raptors were able to win both of their games against the Mavs last season.

The Mavericks were able to end their first losing streak of the season on Wednesday by defeating the New York Knicks 109-102 in overtime. Their defense was solid in that win, forcing the Knicks into committing 21 turnovers.

Through their first 16 games of the season, the Mavs are the top scoring team in the NBA while also being in the top five in assists per game. Power forward Dirk Nowitzki has once against been Dallas' best player by scoring 19.7 points per game and bringing down 5.6 rebounds per game.

On Wednesday night, the Raptors won their sixth game in a row when they beat the Atlanta Hawks 126-115 on the road. In that win, they made 51.2 percent of their shots while only turning the ball over 11 times.

The Raptors have one of the top scoring teams in the league while only giving up a little over 95 points per game to their opponents. Backup points guard Louis Williams has come off of the bench to average 14.2 points and 1.5 steals per game for Toronto this season, while DeMar DeRozan leads the team in scoring with 20.7 points per game.
