The Dallas Mavericks did just enough in their 113-111 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night to tie the series at 3-3 and force a Game 7. Both teams shot over 50% from the field in the game, but the Mavs were able to make 24 free throws while the Spurs made just 15.

Dallas began the game making all of their shots and were able to take an eight-point lead into the second quarter. The Spurs slowly fought back, though, and led by five going into the fourth quarter. It looked like Dallas would bow out of the playoffs at that point, but they were able to score 37 points in the fourth and held on for the two-point win.

Point guard Monta Ellis had his best game of the series so far by making 11 of his 22 shots for a game-high 29 points. Dirk Nowitzki pitched in with 22 points and five rebounds, while Jose Calderon had 12 points, six assists and five rebounds in the win. Backup center DeJuan Blair came off of the bench and had 10 points, 14 rebounds and four steals.

Tony Parker was the only player on the Spurs to shoot more than 10 shots and he ended up going 10-for-23 for a team-high 22 points. Tim Duncan had 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, while Danny Green was 7-for-7 from the field and had 17 points and five rebounds in the loss.
