The Mavericks have not only climbed into the Western Conference playoff race, they're movers and shakers by jumping up to the 7th seed with Golden State and the 6 spot close in their sights. A win Sunday against the unstable Kings would vault them forward with just 5 games to go.

Dallas has won a number of statement games in the past 2+ weeks. It started with a 109-86 win in Oklahoma City on March 16th followed by another home overtime win over the Thunder on March 25th and most recently a 113-107 win at the Staples Center over the Clippers on Thursday. To keep this train rolling the Mavs need to avoid hiccups like recent home overtime losses to Brooklyn and Minnesota.

The Kings played Dallas tight last week losing by only 3 on the Mavericks court and they hope for more positive results as the venue switches to Sleep Train Arena. Sacramento has been up but mostly down recently losing 6 of 10 games from March 15th from April 2nd. They did follow up a three game losing streak with wins over the Pelicans and Lakers heading into a Friday game against Golden State. Either way Kings fan would agree these last 6 games can't come fast enough.

Dallas has won two straight games against Sacramento to push their season record to 2-1 against the Kings. The teams match up well with the Mavericks two wins coming by just a combined 7 points and Sacramento earning a 112-97 win on December 9th.
