On Tuesday night, the Dallas Mavericks will try to improve upon their 4-3 December record when they visit the New York Knicks. In their first game against each other this season, the Mavs came away with a 109-102 overtime victory over the Knicks.

The Knicks were able to come back in the fourth quarter of their game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, but they still ended up suffering a 95-90 loss in overtime. They finished with a low 37.2 field goal percentage and they ended up with 22 turnovers.

Through 26 games, the Knicks have are one of the bottom five scoring teams in the league by averaging less than 94 points per game. Veteran forward Amar'e Stoudemire has made 56.7 percent of his shots this season and is averaging 13.4 points per game with 7.5 boards per game.
