Two teams out of the Western Conference will tip-off on Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston. The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets will play in a tilt involving 2/3rds of the state of Texas teams. The Dallas Mavericks are 9-3 overall, and have won five straight games. The Mavericks are 4-2 in games on the road this season. For Houston, they are coming off a loss to the Lakers on Wednesday night. The Rockets are 9-3 overall.

James Harden has been the leading scorer for the Rockets on the season with 23.8 points per game. Harden scored 24, while Tarik Black led with 9 rebounds on Wednesday. The Rockets rank as the third best defensive team in the league, allowing just over 92 points per game. Houston also lost Dwight Howard in the loss to the Lakers, with an injury. Howard, the former Lakers forward is grabbing 11.3 rebounds per game.

For Dallas, it appears all things are going right currently. The Mavericks are the top scoring team in the league with just shy of 109 points per game. Dirk Nowtizki and Monta Ellis have been the key contributors to that with 19+ points per game. The Mavericks used 34 from Ellis in their 105-102 win at Washington on Wednesday. Dallas also saw their big man Tyson Chandler led the way with 16 rebounds in the win. Chandler is averaging just over 10 per game.
