On Nov. 25, the Denver Nuggets were able to go into American Airlines Center and walk away with a win against the Dallas Mavericks. Denver was led by J.J. Hickson who filled the stat sheet with 22 points, eight rebounds, an assist, three steals and a block. Hickson got the game started with 10 points in the first quarter to help the Nuggets jump out to a 56-51 lead by halftime. Ty Lawson helped keep the Nuggets going in the second half and finished with 19 points and 11 assists. Nate Robinson then put the game away for Denver by scoring 11 straight in the fourth quarter after Dallas took the score from a 15 point lead to just four. This ended any hope that Dallas had about getting back into this game.
Monta Ellis led Dallas with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting. He was also helped by Shawn Marion who ended the game with 13 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and a steal. Dallas just couldn't keep Hickson out of the paint where he did most of his damage. Seven of his eight shots that he made were from within the paint and it was just too much for the Mavs to overcome.
Denver is 6-4 straight up against Dallas over their last 10 meetings. However, Denver is only 4-6 against the spread over that same time period with all four of those wins ATS coming away from home. Over the Nuggets 10 most recent NBA games, they're 3-7 ATS but have covered in two straight. The Nuggets don't seem to cover well at home so that is something to consider here.
Dallas is only slightly better ATS with a 5-5 record over their last 10 games. They are 3-2 over their last five.
