The Dallas Mavericks will be going for their fourth consecutive win when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night. The Mavs and the Bulls played each other twice last season, with both teams picking up one win.

Last Saturday, the Mavericks kept their hot streak going when they defeated the winless Philadelphia 76ers 110-103 on the road. Their defense was very solid in that win, forcing the 76ers into committing 24 turnovers.

The Mavericks are the top scoring team in the league right now and are also averaging 24.3 assists per game. Point guard Monta Ellis has a team-high 19.6 points per game and is dishing out 4.8 assists per game. Veteran Dirk Nowitzki has a 23.8 PER by averaging 19.4 points per game and making nearly 50 percent of his shots.

The Bulls played a solid defensive game against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday and came away with an easy 102-84 road win. In that game, the Bulls did have 19 turnovers, but they were also able to make nearly 50 percent of their shots.

Through 17 games this season, the Bulls are averaging 101.1 points per game while giving up 98.3 points per game to their opponents. Shooting guard Jimmy Butler has stepped up and been their most efficient player by averaging 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
