Thursday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will come into this one after picking up their 8th straight win Tuesday night over the Toronto Raptors.  But the 105 -101 victory didn’t come easy as the Cavaliers had to rally to get the win.  Toronto came out of the gates looking to put Cleveland out of the game early and that’s what they did. By halftime, the Raptors were up by 8 points and seemingly in control.  Unfortunately for the Raptors, the Cavaliers saved their best basketball for the 2nd half.  Cleveland battled back and made a late run in the 4th quarter that earned them the win.  The Cavs held the Raptors to just 13 4th quarter points as LeBron James scored 10 of his game high 35 points in the final quarter.  The game against Toronto should have served as a warm-up for Thursday night’s clash with Oklahoma City.  The Thunder’s record doesn’t really reflect the talent that they will bring to this game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had a battle of their own on Tuesday night but they managed to slip past the Milwaukee Bucks 114 – 101.  The bucks took the lead after the 1st quarter but they couldn’t hold onto it by halftime.  Oklahoma City controlled the 2nd half as the Bucks tried to regain their footing but they were ultimately unsuccessful.  Milwaukee had to deal with Kevin Durant and his first home game of the year and Durant was determined to impress the home crowd.   He had 23 points and along with Russell Westbrook’s 28, it was enough to get the win. Durant will undoubtedly try to put on another show Thursday night as he duels LeBron James again in front of the home crowd.
