The New York Knicks used good three-point shooting and solid play from their two stars to take down the Cleveland Cavaliers the last time these two teams met. Carmelo Anthony didn't have the best start to the game, but finished it off in typical style with 26 points and seven rebounds. Amar'e Stoudemire had one of his better games of the season as he scored 17 points, pulled down 12 boards and blocked three shots.

Anthony started off the game cold as ice, missing the first six shots that he took. He shook off that rough start, though, and made six straight buckets at one point to help the Kicks take a comfortable lead. The Knicks ended the first three quarters with the lead and were able to take off in the fourth quarter to end it with a 10-point win.

Cavaliers' star point guard Kyrie Irving had a fantastic game in the loss, with 30 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds. Spencer Hawes had a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds.

The Kicks made 14 of their 31 attempted three-pointers, including five from shooting guard J.R. Smith. They also also outrebounded the Cavs 49-37 on the night. The win put the Kicks back into the playoff picture in the lowly East despite the fact that they were still over 15 games under the .500 mark.
