The Cleveland Cavaliers will be visiting the Golden State Warriors on Friday in hopes of getting some payback from their December 29 matchup. Back in December, The Warriors were able to best the Cavaliers in overtime by a score of 108-104. Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 29 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and a block. Curry didn't have a great second half as 24 of his 29 came in the first half. However, he was able to make a big shot in overtime with just 13 seconds left to help lift the Warriors to their fifth straight victory.
In the second half of this game, Curry was just 1-of-11 from the floor. Luckily, Curry has the constant green light and the only way to get out of a slump is to keep shooting and it came at the most opportune time. David Lee added 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and a block in this one. Klay Thompson also contributed 16 points on 5-of-16 shooting.
Kyrie Irving was able to send this game into overtime with a shot from behind the arc with just under 10 seconds to go in regulation. The Cavs felt this one shouldn't have even gotten to the point of having to tie the game up as Cleveland was up by 17 at one point. Irving finished the game with 27 points, one rebound, nine assists and a steal. Irving's effort wasn't enough to get Cleveland the home win on this night and it was the sixth straight loss against the Warriors.
