Both the Chicago Bulls and the Minnesota Timberwolves were missing important players the last time they faced each other, but the Timberwolves were able to rely on the stars that they did have to win the game 95-86. The Wolves made just five of their 17 three-point attempts in the game, but they made 22 of their 26 free throw attempts.

Chicago's main problem against the Wolves was that they just couldn't get any help from their bench, who scored a total of 11 points in the game. This was mostly because the players that would usually be subbing in for their first team were already in the starting lineup for the team's injured players.

Kevin Love carried the offensive load for the Wolves yet again in this one, scoring 31 points, including making all 14 of his free throws, and bringing down eight rebounds in the win. Minnesota's center Nikola Pekovic was injured early on in the game, but backup Ronny Turiaf came off of the bench to score 14 points in his absence. Shooting guard Corey Brewer contributed three steals and two blocks for the road team.

Carlos Boozer had a solid game for the Bulls by posting 20 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three steals in the losing effort. Taj Gibson also had a double-double for the home side by scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 boards.
