The Chicago Bulls moved on to a four-game winning streak by handing the Indiana Pacers their first loss of the season when these 2 teams met last. The Pacers were the only unbeaten team that remained in the NBA. The Bulls' Derrick Rose was not sure if he was going to play because of a sore right hamstring that he injured a few games prior. Rose was effective in his 30 minutes on the court and this was obviously before his season ending knee surgery.

Kirk Hinrich came off the bench to put up 13 points, had 8 assists, and secured 4 rebounds for the Bulls, while Taj Gibson had 15 points and 8 rebounds. Luol Deng also contributed with a well-rounded game, scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assista, and 2 steals.

Leading Indiana was Roy Hibbert, who had 14 points. One day earlier he scored his season high with 24 points and 8 blocks. Paul George was only able to score 12 points. He entered the game seventh in the NBA with 24.6 pts per game. The Pacers had just 25 percent shooting from behind the arc including George and Lance Stephenson coming up empty-handed by missing a combined seven 3-pointers.

After a little pushing and shoving, the Bulls Carlos Boozer and Chris Copeland of the Pacers were ejected from the game with just 21 seconds to go.
