In their first meeting of the season, the Chicago Bulls were able to beat the Boston Celtics 94-82 thanks to solid defensive play and a near triple-double from Joakim Noah. The All-Star center came just one assist shy of getting the fourth triple-double of his career, while he and his teammates forced the Celtics into 19 turnovers.

The Bulls had just a three point lead at the half in the January contest, but once the team started to run plays through Noah in the second half, they were able to add to their lead. Along with their high amount of turnovers, the Celtics also only had 15 assists in the game, which resulted in their 10th loss in 15 away games to start the season.

Noah's great night saw him get 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Carlos Boozer also had a solid night for the Bulls, scoring 16 points and pulling down seven boards. The Bulls won despite making just two of the 15 three-pointers that they attempted.

There weren't too many good performances by Celtics players in this one, but Jordan Crawford had a decent game with 22 points and seven assists. Boston center Jared Sullinger had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
