The Charlotte Hornets will play their second road game of the season on Sunday when they go up against the New York Knicks, who are coming off of an upset win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

During the 2013-14 season, the Hornets split their four-game regular season series against the Knicks. The first three games of that series were close, but the Knicks were able to blow out the Raptors 125-96 at home in their last matchup of the season.

Hornets’ veteran power forward Al Jefferson has been able to average 15.4 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game against the Knicks in his career. Fourth-year point guard Kemba Walker has played against the Knicks 10 times, averaging 19.1 points and 6.2 assists per game against them.

On Thursday, the Knicks were able to come back and beat the Cavaliers in LeBron James' first game back in Cleveland. New York shot 53.6 percent from the field in that win and they forced the Cavs into committing 19 turnovers.

Star small forward Carmelo Anthony has scored 19.5 points per game for the Knicks this season with 4.5 assists and three rebounds. Power forward Amar'e Stoudemire has averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game through two games, while shooting guard J.R. Smith has scored 8.5 points per game and leads the team with five assists per game.
