On Friday night, the Charlotte Hornets will have a tough time picking up their second road win of the season as they will have to face the Memphis Grizzlies. In early November, the Grizzlies were able to edge the Hornets 71-69 in Charlotte.

In their game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, the Hornets picked up their second win in a row when they came away with a 96-87 home victory. They won despite making just five of their 23 three-pointers and also losing the turnover battle 14-10.

So far this season, the Hornets are scoring just 94.2 points per game while giving up 100.5 points per game to their opponents. Veteran center Al Jefferson has been their top all-around player by averaging 19.7 points, eight rebounds and just 1.1 turnovers per game.

The Grizzlies won their second straight game on Tuesday night when they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 114-105 at home. They did very well to take care of the ball in that game, finishing with just five team turnovers.

Through 21 games, the Grizzlies have the top defense in the league by allowing just 94 points per game. Veteran power forward Zach Randolph has had a good start to the season by averaging 15.7 points and a team-high 11 boards per game. Their top scorer has been center Marc Gasol, who is averaging 19.5 points per game.
