On Wednesday night, the Charlotte Hornets will attempt to improve upon their poor 3-11 road record when they visit the Houston Rockets. Last season, the Rockets were able to win both of their games against the Hornets.

The Hornets lost their third consecutive game on Monday night when the Milwaukee Bucks beat them 104-94 in overtime. Charlotte did well on the boards in that game, but they also had 17 turnovers and shot just 36.7 percent from the field.

So far this season, the Hornets are in the bottom 10 in the league in both scoring and assists per game. Center Al Jefferson has made 48.8 percent of his shot attempts this season and is currently averaging 18 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Point guard Kemba Walker has scored 17.7 points per game and leads the team in assists with 5.6 per game.

On Monday night, the Rockets played in a back-and-forth game against the Washington Wizards, but they came up just short in what ended up being a 104-103 home loss. They shot the ball pretty well in that game, but they didn't take care of the ball and turned it over 18 times.

In 30 games this year, the Rockets are in the bottom half of the league in scoring, but they are also giving up less than 100 points per game. Small forward James Harden has been their MVP so far this season by averaging 27.4 points, 6.9 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.
