On Monday night, the Charlotte Hornets will try to improve upon their poor 1-9 road record when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers. Last year, Charlotte was able to win all four of their games against the Cavs.

In their game against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, the Hornets were down by 15 points after one quarter and ended up getting routed 114-87 on the road. They only turned the ball over six times in that loss, but they also only made 39.2 percent of their shots.

Through 23 games, the Hornets are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in both scoring and points against. Center Al Jefferson is one player on their team who has had a decent start to the season by averaging 19 points and eight rebounds per game.

On Friday night, the Cavaliers lost their second game in a row when the New Orleans Pelicans beat them 119-114 in Cleveland. Their offense played well in that game, but their defense allowed the Pelicans to shoot 55.7 percent from the field.

Through 22 games, the Cavs are in the top 10 in the league in scoring with over 103 points per game. Their top player this year has once again been small forward LeBron James, who is currently averaging 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game. Power forward Kevin Love has scored 17.6 points per game this season while pulling down 10.1 rebounds per game.
