The Charlotte Bobcats got a step closer to getting one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference with their 101-92 home win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 7. They were able to shoot 46.8% from the field in the game and made 20 of their 22 free throw attempts to pull off the big win.

Charlotte started off the game making their shots and took a 32-25 lead into the second quarter. They lost a bit of their momentum in the second period, though, as the Cavs were able to shrink the deficit to five going into the half. After only leading by two going into the fourth quarter, the Bobcats, led by big man Al Jefferson, were able to play solid defense and get the nine point win.

Jefferson was easily the best player on the floor in this one, notching his fourth straight game with 25 points or more. He finished the game shooting 12-for-18 for 28 points along with seven rebounds.

Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker also had a big game, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the win. Josh McRoberts had 11 points and seven assists for the hosts.

Luol Deng was Cleveland's top scorer, putting up 19 points and also grabbing six rebounds for the visitors. One of the Cavs' downfalls in the loss was their poor three-point shooting, making just 3 of their 17 attempts for a poor 17.6%.
