The last time the Charlotte Bobcats and the Atlanta Hawks played each other, the Hawks played some of their best defense of the season on their way to a 97-83 win. The Bobcats made just nine of their 25 three-point attempts and shot 35.3% from the field in the loss.

Charlotte actually looked like the better team for the majority of the first half, but that all fell apart once the teams came back to the court after halftime. The Hawks were able to outscore the Bobcats 30-16 in the third quarter and then extended their lead even further in the fourth quarter before pulling off the 14-point victory.

The Hawks were led by Paul Millsap, who scored 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting and also brought down five rebounds and blocked two shots. Center Pero Antic added a double-double for the road team by scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the win. Elton Brand came off of the bench and grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots in just 16 minutes of action.

Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker made four three-pointers, but he shot just 7-of-18 overall and ended up with 20 points in the loss. Al Jefferson also had a bad shooting night, but he did finish the game with a double-double by putting up 16 points and pulling down 12 boards.
