The Brooklyn Nets had an odd game against the New Orleans Pelicans the last time they played. Their top three scorers came from the bench and none of their starters scored into double figures. Mason Plumlee led the second string unit with a season high 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Nets cruised to 93-81 victory.

Also chipping in for the Nets were Mirza Teletovic, who scored 13 points and had 11 boards, and Alan Anderson added 13 points to help Brooklyn take advantage of a weak second unit for New Orleans. Kevin Garnett had to leave the game in the third quarter after taking a foul from Alexis Ajinca that drew blood. He got patched up and returned to the game.

The Nets jumped out in front early in the game with an 11-0 lead. The Pelicans missed their first seven shots, and ended the quarter with just 25 percent shooting to the Nets 65 percent. The Pelicans troubles ensued with an embarrassing first half overall. They were barely averaging a point per minute and finished with only 26 first half points. The Pelicans were able to trim the lead down to a single digit total in the third, scoring a much better 32 points, but the effort wasn’t enough to overcome their terrible first half. Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with 24 points and nine rebounds.
