The No. 1 seed Miami Heat, who easily dispatched of the Charlotte Bobcats in the first round, will take on the No. 6 seed Brooklyn Nets, who were able to beat the Toronto Raptors in seven games.

A couple of the Heat's four games with the Bobcats were pretty close, but for the most part it was an easy series sweep for the defending champs. They finished off the series last Monday with an easy 109-98 victory thanks in large part to a dominant 32-17 third quarter.

As expected, the Heat depended on superstar LeBron James to lead the way, which he did by averaging 30 points, six assists and eight rebounds in the series. Dwyane Wade averaged 17.5 points and 1.3 steals in the four games, while power forward Chris Bosh averaged 14.5 points and 5.3 rebounds.

The Nets looked great at times in their 4-3 series win over the Raptors, but they still needed to win the final two games of the series to move on to the second round. The Raptors had a chance to beat them at the last second of Game 7, but the Nets made the stop to advance to play the Heat.

Joe Johnson play 40 minutes per game in that first round series and ended up shooting 54% from the field and averaged 20.8 points. Point guard Deron Williams was also solid for New Jersey by averaging 17.8 points and 5.8 assists.
