The Brooklyn Nets are pretty much the only team in the NBA who seem to have the Miami Heat's number, and they were able to move to 3-0 against the defending champs on the season with a 96-95 win the last time they squared off.

The first half of the game was very close as both quarters ended with the score all tied up. The second half was more of the same, but the Nets were able to take a two-point lead into the fourth quarter, which ended up being crucial.

The Heat had a chance to win it late in the fourth quarter, but key shots by Paul Pierce and a great defensive play by Shaun Livingston sealed the win for Brooklyn. The Heat attempted to get the ball to their superstar LeBron James to score the game-winner, but Livingston was able to knock the ball away and the time expired.

Pierce was easily the best player on the floor in that game, scoring 29 points by making nine of his 12 shots, including going 5-for-7 from three-point range. Nets power forward Mirza Teletovic came off of the bench to score 17 points and block three shots.

LeBron James didn't have his best game, but he still posted 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in the loss. Chris Bosh had a team-high 24 points for the Heat and also brought down seven rebounds.
