Miami Heat superstar LeBron James tied his career-high mark in playoff points and the Heat were able to win Game 4 of their series with the Brooklyn Nets 102-96 on the road to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. The Heat shot 53% from the field in the game and held the Nets to just 44%.
The first and second quarters were both close, but the Heat were able to take a seven-point lead into the half. The Nets played a lot better in the third quarter and cut the deficit down to three points. The score was tied with under a minute to go in the fourth quarter when Heat power forward Chris Bosh broke the tie with a three-pointer and Miami was able to hold on for the road win.
LeBron James had 49 points on 16-of-24 shooting from the field and also finished with six rebounds and three steals in the win. Dwyane Wade had 15 points, four rebounds and two blocks for the visitors, while veteran Ray Allen came off the bench to score 11 points and grab seven boards.
The Nets were led by Paul Pierce, who made six of his 11 shots and ended up with 16 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Joe Johnson had a team-high 18 points, but he made just two of his seven three-point attempts. Small forward Alan Anderson had 10 points off the bench.
