Saturday night, the Brooklyn Nets will take the court at the Time Warner Cable Arena as they face the Charlotte Hornets.

The Brooklyn Nets will come to Charlotte on Saturday after facing the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at home.  While the Sixers have shown that they have talent capable of producing some wins, they seem more interested in improving their potential draft positions than winning games at the moment.  That will mean that despite playing back to back games, the Nets shouldn’t be too fatigued as they take on the Hornets.  But with the injury bug that has hit the Nets, they might have to play more people than they want to on Friday and that could give the Hornets an opportunity to catch Brooklyn at a bad time and to steal a win.

The Charlotte Hornets will also have to travel after a Friday night game.  Charlotte will be in Memphis on Friday to take on the Memphis Grizzlies and then will have to get back home to host the Nets on Saturday.  Although the Hornets had a few wins in recent games, they aren’t too far removed from their 10 game losing streak and that will certainly be in the back of their minds as they try to string together some wins and get back closer to .500.  A win against an injury racked Brooklyn team could be there for the taking if Charlotte wants it.   But they will need to put together a complete game and that has been hard for the Hornets to do consistently this season.
