On Friday afternoon, the Brooklyn Nets will attempt to extend their winning streak to three games when they visit the Boston Celtics. The first time they played each other this year, the Celtics were able to blow out the Nets by the score of 121-105 at home.

The Nets used a 58-point first half to help them defeat the Denver Nuggets 102-96 at home on Tuesday night. They had just nine turnovers in that win and ended up making 47.3 percent of their shots.

Through 27 games this year, the Nets are in the bottom 10 in the league in scoring with just 96.4 points per game. Small forward Joe Johnson has had a pretty good start to the year by averaging 16.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Point guard Deron Williams is averaging 15.6 points and a team-high 6.8 assists per game.

On Tuesday night, the Celtics lost their second consecutive game when the Orlando Magic beat them 100-95 on the road. They had a very bad shooting night in that loss, making just 38.8 percent of their shots as a team.

The Celtics have been able to average 103.7 points per game this year, but they have allowed their opponents to score 104.3 points per game against them. Big man Jared Sullinger has been one of Boston's better players this season by averaging 13.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
