The Toronto Raptors were able to beat the Boston Celtics in Boston this past Wednesday to get a bit closer to securing a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors haven't made the playoffs since back in 2008, but with their win they just needed a Knicks loss to make it into the postseason.

DeMar DeRozan lead the way for the Raptors with 20 points and seven rebounds and helped his team take a 2 ½ game lead over the Brooklyn Nets in the Atlantic Division. Point guard Kyle Lowry added 23 points and nine rebounds, while Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards.

Avery Bradley was the only Boston starter to score in double figures, but he made just six of the 15 shots he attempted for 16 points. Jared Sullinger, who came off of the bench for the Celtics in this one, scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.

The Raptors won the game despite losing the turnover battle 16-9 and being out-assisted 23-17. The one area where they dominated was on the boards, grabbing 48 rebounds and keeping the Celtics to just 36.

Toronto snapped what had been an 11-game losing streak to Boston in this matchup. They also won their 19th road game of the season, which is just one off of their previous high set back in 2001.
