The Boston Celtics will visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The Celtics will be looking to get a win as the last time these two met up the Pelicans were able to escape a 95-92 winner. Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with 23 points, nine rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block on the night. It was a tough win for the Pelicans as Ryan Anderson was taken to the hospital on a stretcher after running into Gerald Wallace in the fourth. Anderson had 13 points and seven rebounds. The Pelicans also got help from Tyreke Evans who scored 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
New Orleans got off to a nice start and were leading 49-43 at halftime. Coming out of the locker room, the Celtics scored eight straight and took the lead right off the bat. The Pelicans were able to go on a run of their own at the end of the quarter and went into the fourth quarter leading by 1. With about 11 minutes left to play, Anderson and Wallace had their collision. Later in the fourth, Boston regained the lead with around five minutes to play and the Pelicans surged back and took a 91-90 lead with just 35 seconds left. New Orleans held on after an Avery Bradley miss.
Boston was led by Brandon Bass who had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the losing effort. Jared Sullinger also chipped in with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
