The Boston Celtics will be going on the road on Monday night to take on the Dallas Mavericks in a game between two high-scoring offenses. Last season, the Mavs beat the Celtics in both of their games against each other.

The Celtics were already down 15 points after the first quarter in their game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday and went on to lose 104-90 on the road. They had a very bad shooting night in that game, making just one of their 25 three-point attempts.

Through two games, the Celtics are fifth in the NBA with 24 assists per game. Their best all-around player has been center Kelly Olynyk, who is scoring 13.5 points per game while also grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game. Their top scorer has been small forward Jeff Green, who has scored 17 points per game.

On Saturday night, the Mavericks were able to win their second straight game when they beat the New Orleans Pelicans 109-104 on the road. They made just six of their 25 three-pointers in that game, but they did finish with an over shooting percentage of 51.7 percent.

The Mavs are third in the NBA in scoring with 109.7 points per game. Shooting guard Monta Ellis is the team's top scorer so far with 19 points per game, while power forward Dirk Nowitzki has averaged 18.7 points and five rebounds per game through three games.
