Somebody give the Hawks some crutches because they're redefining limping into the playoffs. At a time of year when teams are supposed to be surging and playing their best basketball, Atlanta is sliding badly. The schedule isn't giving them a break either with three games in four nights culminating with a Saturday night matchup with the playoff bound Wizards in Washington.

There looked like a bright spot when Atlanta had put their late season struggles aside to win five straight games, although that streak could've been deceiving considering three of the wins were against Milwaukee, Utah, and Denver. The Hawks presumptively lost 4 straight games straight up and against the spread with three playoff teams ahead in their next four games. The Knicks have crept to only 2 games back with about 10 to play.

Even though Washington is headed to the playoffs, they haven't exactly been lighting the world on fire themselves lately. The Wizards have lost 4 of 5 and and have been killing bettors by going only 2-8 ATS their last 10 games. Things also look bleak in the Nation's Capitol with Saturday night's tilt against Atlanta coming immediately after a Friday night battle with the Pacers.

Atlanta and Washington had a high scoring affair when they met up last time in the Philips Arena. The Hawks were -1 favorites on their home court but fell 114-97 as Washington shot over 50% from the field, committed only 10 turnovers, and had 7 players score in double figures to topple the 203 point total.
