Even though they're on opposite sides of the playoff spectrum the Hawks and Pacers find themselves in similar situations heading into Sunday's game. The Pacers have been limping lately behind poor shooting and suddenly find themselves out of the top spot in the East, a position they've held for basically the entire season. The Hawks have also skidded but they might be out of the postseason altogether as New York has stolen the #8 spot. Sunday is a day of reckoning as the Heat and Knicks will have wrapped up their game by the 6:00 tip-off.

Atlanta got cold at the absolute wrong time after a recent 6-game losing streak. The Hawks have gotten out of favor with fans as well as oddsmakers who have made them favorites just twice in their last 10 games, with one coming against Philadelphia. Still the Hawks look to sneak back into the 8th spot on the road, where they're just 11-27 this year.

Indiana wants to improve on their 34-5 record at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and take back home court advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs. Like Atlanta the Pacers have played poor at an inopportune time, losing 6 of 10 games from March 17th to April 2nd. They lost three straight games last week to Washington, Cleveland, and San Antonio, failing to score more than 78 points in any game.

The Pacers and Hawks have met three times this year with Atlanta winning the first meeting 97-87 on January 8th but Indiana redeeming themselves 89-85 on February 4th and 108-98 on February 18th.
