The Atlanta Hawks will visit the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday March 17. The Bobcats are hoping to send the Hawks home with a loss as Atlanta did to them on Dec. 28 by a score of 118-116. Still feeling the effect of missing Al Horford, the Hawks were able to hold it together for the win. This was the first game back without Horford who was lost for the season with a torn pectoral muscle. Paul Millsap led the Hawks with 33 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks in the overtime win. Jeff Teague finished this one with 20 points and nine assists, while Mike Scott chipped in with 18 points.
The Bobcats were up 55-47 early in the third quarter behind a Kemba Walker 3-point shot. Charlotte led for most of the half. Atlanta cut the lead to six at the end of the third. However, this one came down to the end of regulation. With the Bobcats up three, Pero Antic knocked down his first points of the game when he hit a 3-pointer off one leg with three seconds left in the game to send this one to OT. In overtime, it was all tied up at 108 when Walker missed a shot and Lou Williams was sent to the line to finish off the game.
Charlotte was led by Al Jefferson with 24 points, 23 rebounds, an assist and a steal.
