Warriors at Mavericks Picks and NBA Betting Odds

This Saturday the Golden State Warriors will stay on the road for the second night in a row with a trip to the American Airlines Center to face the Dallas Mavericks. This Western Conference matchup is set to get underway at 8:30 p.m. (ET), and the game will be available on NBA League Pass.
This will actually be Golden State’s fourth road game in five nights after giving up 140 points to Houston in a 31-point loss as a 2.5-point underdog and dropping a 119-98 decision to Oklahoma City as an 11-point dog. The Warriors are now 14-13 straight-up on the road this season and 14-12-1 against the spread. The total has gone “over” in seven of their last eight games.
Dallas comes into this matchup with two wins in its last three games, including a 105-99 victory over Portland as a 5.5-point home favorite. It is now 5-5 SU in its last 10 games but a great team to wager on with an 8-2 record ATS. The total has gone over in seven of their last nine games.
Warriors at Mavericks Betting Storylines
The Warriors are currently holding the sixth spot in the West with an overall record of 30-19 and sitting 8.5 games out of the lead heading into Friday night’s contest against Memphis. This game becomes vitally important to closing that gap considering they will be on the road for six of their next nine outings after Saturday’s game. If they can survive all this time on the road, they remain a team to watch in the West considering they are averaging 101.2 points, 44.7 rebounds and 23.2 assists a game, which all ranked near the top of the league.
Stephen Curry leads the team in scoring with 20.7 points a game, but David Lee is a close second with an average of 19.2 points while pulling down 11 rebounds a game. Golden State’s overall depth remains solid with Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry both scoring in double-figures off the bench.
Dirk Nowitzki has pretty much returned to form after missing a good chunk of the Mavericks’ regular season and is now averaging 14.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game. OJ Mayo is the team’s leading scorer with 18 points, and Vince Carter is chipping in another 12.8 points a game. Overall, Dallas still has some solid balance throughout the lineup with six different players scoring in double-figures.
The problem with the Mavericks has been a lack of consistency on defense that has plagued them all season long. They are ranked ninth in the NBA in scoring with 100.6 points a game, but ranked 28th in points allowed in giving up an average of 103 points a game.
Warriors at Mavericks NBA Betting Odds and Trends
BetOnline has opened the Mavericks as 5.5-point home favorites for this matchup with the “over/under” set at 209.5
The Warriors are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games played on Saturday and 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games playing on no day’s rest. The total has gone over in 13 of their last 18 conference games.
The Mavericks are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. The total has gone over in 13 of their last 19 games against the Pacific Division.
The road team in this matchup has covered in the last four meetings, and the total has gone over in three of the last five games. Golden State is 5-1 ATS in its last six trips to Dallas.
Warriors at Mavericks Picks and Betting Predictions
Golden State won the first meeting this season by three points at home as a four-point favorite. Road wear could take its toll after playing three games in four nights, but the Warriors fully realize the importance of ending this trip on a winning note before gearing up for another six games on the road later this month. Stick with these true “road” Warriors to rally on Saturday night to come away with the SU win in a high-scoring game that could be a perfect parlay with the over.
