The San Antonio Spurs will look to extend their current winning streak to 11 games when they square off against the Minnesota Timberwolves this Wednesday night at the Target Center. This Western Conference clash is scheduled to tip off at 9 p.m. (ET), and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

The loss of Kevin Love since Jan.3 with a fractured hand has proved to be devastating for a team that has been unable to replace his 18.3 points and 14 rebounds a game. Adding to their woes, it looks like Andrei Kirilenko will miss this game as well with a strained quad muscle.

The only chance the Timberwolves have to cover in this game is to somehow slow the Spurs down. They are still ranked 14th in the league in points allowed, and if they can hold San Antonio to its season average of 97 points they may have a shot. Minnesota has sunk to 25th in scoring with 95.3 points a game. However, despite losing five of its last six games, the one encouraging sign is that it has been able to score 100 or more points in four of those contests.
