Whether or not the loss to the Bobcats was just a hiccup along the way remains to be seen, but this contest should be a first good test. Boston is another team that is known for playing tight defense in giving up an average of 96.3 points a game. It has held teams below that number in five of its last seven games.

Another key to the recent run was an offensive outburst that has seen the Celtics put up over 104 points a game in their last nine games after averaging just 96.3 points this season. Paul Piece remains the team’s leading scorer with 18.7 points a game, and Kevin Garnett is averaging 15.2 points. With Rondo out of the lineup, Boston has just two other players scoring in double figures. However, additional help from the bench is adding over 33 points a game.
