We start the NASCAR season at the Daytona International Speedway. The Daytona 500, which is also known as the Great American Race, will start the NASCAR Cup Series in spectacular fashion. This is the biggest race of the year and the most unique thing about is that is kicks the year off instead of ending it. Everyone will have eyes on this race because the winner of this race creates a little bit of history in the process.

The third round of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase for the Sprint Cup begins this weekend at the smallest track on the circuit, Martinsville Speedway. The series enters the Eliminator Round of the Chase at Martinsville. The eight drivers that are in the Eliminator Round are -- Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Jeff Gordon. Teams will do anything possible to get these drivers to the front.

Bank of America 500, Odds and Predictions

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels to Concord, North Carolina, this week for the Bank of America 500. The series last raced at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. The Sprint Cup Series has competed at Charlotte more than any other track on the circuit this season. Most teams competed in the Sprint All-Star Race and the Coca-Cola 600 in May. The race track is similar to the race last week at Kansas, so that data can be used for this week as well.

The second round of the Chase begins this weekend when the Cup Series returns to Kansas Speedway, and while the 1.5-mile oval may have a very familiar layout, history says to expect the unexpected at Kansas. After all, the track has played host to surprise winners and some of the strangest moments in the Chase.

AAA 400 at Dover, Odds and Predictions

The first elimination race will be held at Dover International Speedway, which is a one-mile concrete oval with a lot of banking in the corners also known as the Monster Mile. The last five Chase spots are going to be up for grabs as all of the drivers from eighth to sixteenth are all within twelve points of each other. A mistake on the track or on pit road will end the season for a driver, so all of the drivers who are in the eighth thru sixteenth positions will be on edge this weekend. Having a car that handles well will be important this week. Teams that set their cars up to turn in all four corners will dominate the race. The cream usually rises to the top at Dover, so focus on selecting a Chase driver to win it this week.
