NASCAR All-Star Open Picks, Odds & Predictions 6/13/2021

Race: NASCAR All-Star Open

Date: Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 8:00 PM EST

Location: Texas Motor Speedway

TV: FS1

This race will take place at Texas Motor Speedway and will include six rounds and will total 100 laps. The starting lineup will be determined via random draw. The first four rounds will be 15 laps each with round 5 being 30 laps and the final round will have a 10-lap shootout.

Throughout the 100-lap race, there will be inversions after rounds 2 through 4 and only green flag laps counting in the final round. The winner of this race will be getting $900,000 with $100,000 going to the fastest pit crew of the day during the mandatory pitstop in the fifth round.

This race started off how the last one finished and that’s with Kyle Larson dominating the field. Larson started on the pole and led the field into green. Christopher Bell had a fuel line issue which made him pit incredibly early in this one. However, he was able to get a free pass at the competition caution and he would run a good race overall. Martin Truex Jr. also made a run after starting this one in the 19th spot. By the end of the first stage, Larson was able to grab the win.

With many varieties of pit stop strategies being used, the green flag was thrown down and we begin stage 2. There were many things happening in this stage including Tyler Reddick getting a tire run when trying to pass Alex Bowman, William Byron passing Kurt Busch and Rickey Stenhouse Jr running into a wall to name a few. With everything happening and the changes taking place, the one constant was Kyle Larson dominating the stage and taking the win.

In the final stage Chase Elliott would get a great launch and take the early lead from Kurt Busch. With about 30 laps to go, Kyle Larson would come from the middle of the pack and retake the lead. Truex Jr would try to play some pit road games and get in there before Larson, but it didn’t help in the end. After many cautions towards the end of this one, Kyle Larson ended up taking the checkered flag and has won seven straight stages.

2021 Cup Series Standings Update

This is Kyle Larson's third win of the season and puts him in the top spot going into the Playoffs. He has 3 wins, has earned 3 poles, has 9 top-5 finishes and 11 top-10 finishes. Rounding out the top 5 for the playoff race is martin Truex Jr., Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott, and William Byron. Still just on the outside looking in sits Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and Austin Dillon. Hamlin has 9 top-5 finishes this season and Harvick is sitting with 11 top-10 finishes.

We're going to go a couple of different routes here. If you're looking for a longshot that has a good chance to win, go with Joey Logano. He has earned seven top-5 finishes this season which includes a win on the dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway. With that said, it's hard to go against Kyle Larson right now. There isn't a hotter driver in NASCAR and it seems like he could do it all over again here. He hasn't finished outside of the top two in six races this season. As hard as it is to keep winning, we like Larson in this race.
