The Tigers have gone 104-27 over the last 10 years, winning nearly 80 percent of all games and posting an obscene 44-3 mark against teams outside the SEC. Les Miles is an idiot coach savant and continues to crank out uber-athletic and highly decorated recruiting classes alongside 10-win seasons.
LSU only has 12 returning starters. But who cares? They're stacked again. Their offensive line has four of five returning starters and their backfield, bolstered by No. 1 recruit Leonard Fournette, will easily replace Jeremy Hill's 1400-plus yards. The defense has seven starters back from the No. 15 unit in the nation and I'm sure there are several future NFL draft picks waiting in the wings.
LSU's schedule is pretty amazing, actually. They only play four road games. That's a little odd, but not unheard of. Well, they play eight of their first 10 games either at home or close to home. They open with Wisconsin in Houston (with what should be a pro-Tiger crowd) and then seven of their next nine games are played in Baton Rouge. Since almost no one beats the Bayou Bengals in Death Valley I'd say this sets up well for LSU.
LSU can win on the road against Auburn and against Florida. If they did that then I think a home game against Alabama (both teams have two weeks to prepare) and a road game at A&M to close the year (again, two weeks to prep) will determine whether or not LSU goes unbeaten this year. The problem is that the Auburn and Florida games are back-to-back so I don't see them pulling a sweep. I also think LSU will lose to either Wisconsin, Alabama or A&M.
I would play this one 'over', because even if the Tigers do lose three regular season games again this year this wager is a 'push'. I can see them losing three times. But I don't see them losing four games this year. Play 'over' and take a shot at a big season.
