On Saturday night, the Virginia Tech Hokies will attempt to pull off an upset when they go on the road to face the #8 Ohio State Buckeyes.

Virginia Tech took care of business in their opening matchup by defeating William & Mary 34-9 at home. The Hokies rushed for 222 yards in the game and were able to hold William & Mary to just 193 total yards.

Virginia Tech's top performer in their opening game was freshman running back Shai McKenzie, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries. Quarterback Michael Brewer completed 23 of his 30 passes for 251 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Wide receiver Isaiah Ford caught four passes in the game for 43 yards and a score.

Ohio State didn't have the best start to their game against Navy over the weekend, but they got it together in the second half and pulled off a 34-17 win. They did allow Navy to rush for 370 yards in the game, but they held them to just 20 passing yards. The Buckeyes committed just two turnovers in the win.

Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett went 12-for-15 through the air for 226 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Running back Ezekiel Elliott finished with 44 rushing yards on one score. Kicker Sean Nuernberger made both of his field goals in the win, including a 46-yarder.
