On Saturday afternoon, the Virginia Tech Hokies (4-5) will be looking to end their three-game losing skid when they visit the #19 Duke Blue Devils (8-1). Duke beat Virginia Tech 35-22 on the road a season ago.

In their last game, Virginia Tech scored 21 fourth-quarter points against Boston College, but it wasn't enough as they ended up losing 33-31. They did have 414 yards in that game, but they were only able to get first downs on seven of their 20 third down opportunities.

The Hokies have a losing record right now despite only giving up 22.6 points per game this season. Quarterback Michael Brewer has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 2,099 yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Wide receiver Isaiah Ford has caught a team-high 41 passes for 522 yards and five touchdowns.

Duke won their fourth consecutive game last Saturday when they defeated Syracuse 27-10 on the road. They only had 259 total yards in that win, but their defense took care of business by holding Syracuse to just 224 yards.

The Blue Devils are averaging 34.8 points per game this season while only giving up 18.2 points per game. Quarterback Anthony Boone has 1,789 passing yards this year for 1,789 yards and 14 touchdowns, and he has also rushed for four touchdowns. Boone's main target has been wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who has caught 58 passes for 694 yards and four touchdowns.
