On Saturday afternoon, the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-7) will take on the #4 Mississippi State Bulldogs (9-1), who are coming off of their first loss of the season. Vanderbilt is in seventh place in the SEC East right now, while the Bulldogs are in second in the SEC West.

In their last game, Vanderbilt turned the ball over four times and ended up getting routed 34-10 at home by Florida. They only had 83 rushing yards in that loss, and they were only able to convert four out of their 16 third down chances.

The Commodores have one of the lowest-scoring teams in the nation this season by averaging just 18.9 points per game. Running back Ralph Webb has rushed for 838 yards this season with three touchdowns through 10 games. Quarterback Johnny McCrary has 806 passing yards with nine touchdowns and six interceptions.

Mississippi State had their unbeaten streak come to an end last Saturday when they were beaten 25-20 by Alabama on the road. They did have 428 total yards in that game, but they also committed three crucial turnovers.

The Bulldogs are 20th in the country in rushing with 243.2 rushing yards per game, and 15th in scoring with 37.8 points per game. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been their best player by throwing for 2,521 yards with 20 touchdowns, and also rushing for 861 yards with 11 more touchdowns. Running back Josh Robinson has 1,021 rushing yards on the season with 11 scores.
