On Saturday night, the #25 Utah Utes (6-3) will try to snap their two-game losing streak when they face the tough defense of the Stanford Cardinal (5-4). In 2013, the Utes ended up beating Stanford 27-21 at home.

Utah gave up 24 points in the second and fourth quarters of their game against Oregon last Saturday and ended up getting trounced 51-27. They turned the ball over four times in that loss, and their defense gave up 508 yards.

Utah has been able to score 32.7 points per game this season, while their defense has held opponents to 24.6 points per game. Running back Devontae Booker has averaged 5.2 yards per carry this season and has 1,055 yards with eight touchdowns. Quarterback Travis Wilson has thrown for 1,381 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

In their last game, Stanford had their worst defensive performance of the season when they were blown out 45-16 by Oregon. They gave up 525 yards in that loss, including 267 yards on the ground.

The Cardinal have had a very hard time moving the ball on the ground this season, averaging just 140.2 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Kevin Hogan has 2,051 passing yards with 13 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 165 yards and four more scores. Wide receiver Ty Montgomery has caught 56 passes for 549 yards and three touchdowns.
