The Tulsa Golden Hurricane (2-8) will go on the road on Saturday afternoon to face the tough defense of the Houston Cougars (5-4). Houston and Tulsa are currently fourth and eighth in the American standings, respectively.

Tulsa's struggles continued last Friday when they were blown out 31-7 by UCF on the road. In that loss, they were only able to gain 201 total yards and they turned the ball over three times.

The Golden Hurricane have had a very good passing game this season, but they have only been able to score 23.6 points per game. Their best offensive player has been wide receiver Keevan Lucas, who has caught 81 passes for 1,037 yards and 11 touchdowns. Quarterback Dane Evans has 2,645 passing yards on the year with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

In their last game, Houston had their three-game winning streak come to an end when they were upset 31-24 by Tulane at home. They did end up with 432 offensive yards in that game, but they also finished with four turnovers.

The Cougars have their winning record thanks to their solid defensive unit, which has only given up 17.7 points per game this season. Wide receiver Deontay Greenberry has caught 51 passes this season for 602 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Kenneth Farrow has averaged 5.4 yards per carry for 570 yards and five touchdowns.
