The Tulane Green Wave (3-7) will go on the road on Saturday afternoon to take on the East Carolina Pirates (6-3), who have lost two games in a row. Tulane beat East Carolina 36-33 in overtime last season.

Tulane didn't take care of the ball in their game against Memphis last Saturday and ended up getting blown out 38-7 on their home field. They did outgain Memphis 31-334 in that game, but they also turned the ball over five times.

Tulane has had one of the worst offenses in the nation through 10 games by only scoring 18.3 points per game. Running back Sherman Badie has rushed for 634 yards this season with three touchdowns, while wide receiver Justyn Shackleford has been able to catch 33 passes for 419 yards and two scores in 10 games.

After winning six of their first seven games, East Carolina has now lost two in a row after losing 54-46 to Cincinnati last Thursday. They lost that game despite gaining 572 yards and forcing Cincinnati into committing four turnovers.

The Pirates are currently second in the country in passing by throwing for 367.6 yards per game. Quarterback Shane Carden has 3,209 passing yards on the year with 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions. Running back Breon Allen has also been solid by rushing for 734 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games.
